With these bite-sized social media posts, STEM has been interpreted as shape, tinker, explore, and make. The STEM acronym has been reimagined with words that emphasize how STEM Scouts learn by shaping their thinking, tinkering with everyday objects, exploring the universe around them, and making extraordinary things.
Through creative interpretation, STEM Scouts shows that science, technology, engineering, and math can be more fun than ever imagined.
This project was done under the art direction of Joseph Nother and in collaboration with Hunter Foster & Ben Maxey.

TopButton is all about teaching young men the ways of a properly fitting suit and the art of beer. The goal is to see guys that are confident in what they're wearing and that know what they're drinking.
TopButton is modern, bold, and approachable. With its striking photography, bold colors, and hand lettering, TopButton shows it knows what it's doing, without being too cocky.

Client: University of Tennessee's Summer Undergraduate Research Office
During the summer of 2014, I completed a Summer Undergraduate Research Internship at the University of Tennessee. I focused on Latino literacy and how to help young Latino children be more interested in reading.
I found that many Latino parents expressed difficulty communicating with their child’s teacher in order to assist their child at home. This not only affects literacy but it also affects their child’s overall academic success. I developed a bilingual communication guide that strengthens the connection between parents and teachers.
The goal of this outcome is to empower Latino parents’ involvement in their child’s education.

Client: Outward Bound
Each of Outward Bound’s regional schools has its own specific offerings and culture. However, they're still part of a bigger, unified brand. In order to let each school stand-out, while staying on brand, regional schools were designed a website, showing off their location, colors, and programming, while having a unified structure and function. Check some of these sites out:

There is a major difference between hearing and listening. Hearing is the simple act of being able to notice and process sound while listening takes more effort. When you listen, you really pay attention and try to understand what is being heard. Even though deaf people may not be able hear what is happening around them, they still have the great ability to LISTEN.
This book focuses on the stories and experiences of four different deaf people and aims to get hearing people to stop and try and listen.
